Itinerary Cameron Highland 3H 2M

Sempena cuti sekolah bulan 12, kami jalan-jalan ke Cameron Highland. Kali terakhir ke sini, sebelum kahwin. Sekarang anak dah 3 😂.

Kami menginap di Snooze Too Hotel, Brinchang.

Hari kedua

1) Sarapan pagi & melawat Taman Agroteknologi MARDI
Kanak-kanak bawah 7 tahun, masuk percuma

Di sini ada 1 warung sarapan pagi. Harga makanan pun ok. Makanan semua dah siap berbungkus.

Pokok tomato

Dah tengah hari, baru keluar dari sini. Tu pun tak habis pusing dekat kebun bunga sebab dah penat nak jalan 😌 Lepas tu, kami singgah KHM Strawberries & Jam sebab nak beli nasi lemak sambal strawberi & scones. Nasi lemak dia sedap. Sambal strawberi tu memang ada buah strawberi sebiji-sebiji. Rasa mcm makan acar strawberi sambalnya. Scone dekat KHM ni sangat buttery dan berlemak. Sedap makan dengan jam strawberi dia. Lupa pulak, aiskrim dia pun sedap. aiskrim strawberi tp tak manis. Jadi, dia letak topping sos strawberi manis. Aiskrim tu lembut sgt. Kalau dah cair, frozenkan balik pun still sedap. Kami bungkus je sebab kalau nak makan dekat cafe dia ramaiii orang.

2. Cameron Highland Butterfly Park
Bawah 6 tahun masuk percuma

Dalam ni, rama-rama lebih mesra. Ada signboard cakap jangan tangkap rama-rama tapi kalau pegang rama-rama tu, dia tak lari pun.

Hari ketiga

1) Sarapan di Opah Strawberries & Jams
Pagi terakhir di Cameron, kami sarapan di Opah Strawberries & Jams. Kami cuba 3 jenis scones dari 8 jenis(kalau tak silap). Scone di sini semuanya cheese based. Yang kami pilih chocolate chip, strawberi & coffee. Suami cakap coffee tu sedap (dia makan semua. Sedap sangat kot sampai tak ingat nak bagi rasa 😌). Scone chocolate chip & strawberry tu biasa je rasa dia.

2) Time Tunnel Museum
Selepas sarapan, kami balik ke hotel untuk kemas barang & check out. Kemudian kami ke Time Tunnel Museum.
Bayaran masuk dewasa RM 8
Bayaran masuk kanak-kanak RM 5
2 Tahun ke bawah masuk percuma

Kalkulator zaman dulu

3) Healthy Strawberry Farm
Kalau pergi Cameron musim hujan, buah strawberi tak banyak. Kata peniaga dekat Tanah Rata, sebab bunga banyak gugur bila hujan. Tapi manis sangat. Anak-anak kata rasa macam jam strawberi & diorang suka (betul rasa macam makan jam strawberi manis dia 😂). Untuk mak2 ni mungkin tak minat manis macam tu.

Ada jual bunga juga dekat sini

2 waffle aiskrim & 1 milkshake harganya dalam RM30+

4) Cameron Tea Valley 2
Tempat terakhir kami singgah di Cameron Tea Valley 2. Cameron Tea Valley ni ada 3. Yang dekat dengan Brinchang valley 1 & 2. Valley 2 tempat parking lebih banyak tapi tempat jalan dekat ladang teh tak ada sungai dll. Kalau rajin boleh lah jalan sampai ke tengah tapi kami jalan turun tangga sikit je (tu pun mengah nak naik balik tangga tu. Tinggiiiii). Kenapa tak pergi Ladang Teh Boh? Antaranya sebab baca review susah nak drive ke sana. Jalannya sempit. Tapi sebab utama tak pergi sebab jauh dari Brinchang dan plannya nak masuk tengok kilang pemprosesan teh. Tapi sekarang dah tak buka untuk pelawat. Jadi, sebab nak tangkap gambar & tunjuk dekat anak2 pokok teh je, pergi yang dekat je lah.

Tak ada nak recommend makanan dekat sini sebab kami pun cuma order teh masala, strawberry cheesecake & nuget. Semua biasa2 je rasa dia. Lepas makan, singgah kedai Bharat tea sebelah cafe dia. Dekat sini kami beli beberapa jenis teh untuk bagi souvenir (Teh masala, Lemon, Anggur, Laici & pic). Bila dekat rumah buat teh masala tu, sedap pulak (bancuh air panas, tambah susu pekat & susu segar). Kalau ada rezeki pergi lagi, memang dah plan nak beli teh ni lagi.

Nak masuk ladang teh ni kena bayar RM 3 untuk dewasa. Kanak-kanak bawah 12 tahun, percuma.

Sebelum balik, pesan dekat suami nak beli bouquet rose.

Mungkin sebab kami datang hari Khamis-Sabtu. Nak pilih hotel/homestay dekat cameron ni, selain bersih kena cari yang water heater berfungsi. Kalau tak, sejuk oi nak mandi pagi tu. Kebanyakkan tempat tumpuan mula operasi seawal 8/8.30 pagi. Jadi, keluar awal nak elak ramai orang.

Review: Maggi pedas giler ayam bakar

Assalamualaikum,

Last two weeks, my sister and I bought maggi pedas giler. Ktorg beli both tomyam dgn ayam bakar. Tp baru rasa ayam bakar je. Tgk ramai jgk buat challenge. Kira viral la maggi ni lps samyang. So, ktorg beli, nk tgk mana lg pedas 😎

Kalau samyang, merah lg warna dia

Packaging dia mmg menarik. Siap dkt tutup bekas ada tanda dkt mana korg kena koyak. Senang la kerja kira. Biasa koyak je terus semua, first time beli maggi cup ada guide mcm tu.

So far, ktorg rasa maggi tu mmg sedap. Pedas pn mmg pedas.

And make sure lps korg mkn maggi ni, jgn minum air kosong. Mmg menjadi-jadi pedasnya nnt. Lps mkn pedas, kena minum air suam. Skjp je nnt pedas tu hilang. Oh, harga maggi ni sebekas dlm rm 3++. Tp masa ktorg beli tu tgh ada offer, dpt la murah sikit.

Selamat mencuba! 💪

non-native arabic speaker

"Allow me to speak my Arab tongue
before they occupy my language as well.
Allow me to speak my mother tongue
before they colonise her memory as well.
I am an Arab woman of color.
and we come in all shades of anger"
(Rafeef Ziadah, Palestinian Activist, 2011)

I learned arabic since kindergarten until secondary school.
Some people might think that by now I should have known arabic language by heart.
Plus I have my own ustazah arab at home which is my mom (proud to say she was my arabic language teacher during my form 5). And all of the siblings have knowledge in arabic (we went to the same kindergarten and primary school, so basically we all learned from the same syllabus).
Unfortunately, it is a big NO. I just keep on learning but then since I don't do much on the talking part, so I'm not fluent in the language. AT ALL.

Why did suddenly I bring on this topic.
Recently, when I accompanied my mom at the hospital, her friend from Cairo came for a visit.
They were having their conversation in arabic (fushah not 'ammi).
And I did try my best to understand the conversation. I did understand it a little (not all..but then its better than not understand it at all..hu)
Suddenly, the aunt ask me (in arabic of course) : nusaibah, how's ur arabic?
I was speechless..what should I say? I can't speak arabic?your mom is an arabic teacher..and you don't speak arabic?and you've been learning arabic since what?5 years old?what a shame..that is what I thought during that time..
Fortunately, I've been saved by the doctor who want to have a look at my mom condition *sigh*. the great thing is that I don't have to answer the question.
But then, the question keep on circulating in my mind. And it is not the first time though that I told myself that I have to learn back this language. Not just learn but this time I have to love the language.

Years back, I learned it just for the sake of getting A in the exam. And I found the language is not that hard (compared to engineering subject, it is much more easier). Though it become quite hard when suddenly you have to learn the grammar and literature (I learn the communication only in previous school). Then, at the same year you first learnt those thing you have to take a big exam which is SMA. It was during my form 4 when I moved to Sekolah Agama from my previous school. And for the first time, I nearly failed for the paper during the first test. It is a history though.
A good thing is that, Allah did fulfill what I want(Alhamdulillah^^). I managed to get A for every big exam on the subject. Even got exempted during my foundation. But then it means nothing if I can't even speak properly with the language. Let alone understanding the conversation. I might know some words, but most of the words sound foreign to me.

So, let's learn arabic. I'm not sure yet how, but I think this should be put in my wishlist.
I wish that one day, I can understand the Qur'an without much help from the translation *big grin*

p/s: Before that, the husband call and ask for my mother (in arabic also..what do you expect? He is an IRK lecturer)..and I am being the ignorant one in the language replied by english..double shame..and I don't even know how to start the conversation when I went to pick them at the door of the ward..at that moment, I wish there is a hole and I can just simply hiding in it -__- and when my mom asked me to accompany them back to the ward's door I refused because I was just afraid if they tried to talk to me again in arabic and I don't know what to say for the reply *hmmph* [awkward moment]

untuk awak

It has been..2 months perhaps?
or is it more?
I lost the count..in fact I've never pay attention to the days went by
Because somewhat
Deep down I wish that we can joke around back
Like the old times
What have I done wrong this time T_T

APG kata: Da'ie tak boleh ego
but then here I am
indulge in my big ego
am I the one that ruin this friendship *sigh*
But then from that time
you stop talking, joking, being stupid with me
I kept wondering what have I done
Till now still I'm not sure what have I done
Will you enlighten me someday later?
That one day that I wish will happen
Before your last day here (I should put this in my wishlist perhaps?)
That one day when we can smile, laugh, being stupid together again :)

Ini untuk awak
Sila abaikan grammar ok
sbb sy bkn Mr. Henry Middleton
Semoga awak baik2 di sana
dan tenang2 je undergo these 2 weeks yg hectic :)

why want to be a judge?

kadang2 manusia terlalu judgemntal terhadap action org lain
nampak org couple je dah buat muka
nampak org dye rmbut segala pun mcm2 fikir
I am not saying that they do a right thing
indeed memang salah benda yg mereka buat
tapi kalau kita tak buat apa2 towards them
nasihat ke..tegur ke..
we don't have right to judge them

Why did I said so? sebab manusia ni Allah cipta bukan untuk menjadi orang yg mengadili
tapi tugas kita adalah ajak ke arah kebaikan and halang orang buat benda x baik
and before kita nk judge orang
nak ckp diorang ni susah sgt ke nk tinggal & berubah which is memang susah
ask ourselves first..aku dah buat apa untuk tolong mereka berubah?
at least la..ada tak aku doakan supaya Allah buka pintu hati diorang and mudahkan jalan utk mereka berubah?
Kalau tak de then we have no right at all nak judge people
Kalau ada and tak berjaya..keep on praying..sebab hati tu Allah yg pegang..
in fact, kita punya hati pun bila2 Allah boleh tarik nikmat iman & Islam dr hati kita..

bila kutunggu

salam!!
alhamdulillah..another year of study had passed by..having internship now for about 2months ++..it is quite boring since most of the time we'll sit and goyang kaki..not much works..dgn perangai org yg mcm x faham malay=__=

But..yes..i'm learning a lot..Kalau selama ni ddk uia rasa selamat dan persekitaran selesa..This is the 2nd time rasa something different..the 1st time was during PLKN..masa ni la dpt tgk masyarakat tu mcm mana..and mmg bile berdepan dgn masy stand kita akn sgt diuji..between nk siapkn kerja and solat..dengan ikhtilatnya..klau kt uia xde org nk tepuk tampar cubit buat muke mntk penampar..skrg sume ade..and indeed kdg2 mmg rse nk slap je (mngkin ptt pki glove?hueh)

Walaupun (asal cm skema gile dah ni) ade manusia berperangai pelik and die pulak yg pelik dgn ktorg padahal die yg pelik..tp ada jgk manusia xpelik kt sini..and kalau dulu selalu je rasa best klau Allah buat iman tu diwarisi..bila kerja rasa Allah sangat adil sbb x buat iman tu diwarisi..kalau tak mmg kesian anak2 bos n staff sini^^ betul la manusia ni sgt mudah lupa kt Allah bila dah senang..

Tapi, one thing that i'm afraid of is ade saying ke ape tah ckp org yg baik xboleh ddk dlm lingkungan org belum baik sbb lmbt laun die akan terikut..and org blm baik kalau ddk dlm lingkungan org baik die akn berubah jd baik..sy bukan lah nk ckp: "weh..sy bai..korg tak!!"..nope..coz i know that i'm not..tp Allah byk sgt jg aib sy:'( what i'm trying to say is sy rindu usrah dan uia..sbb sy dikelilingi org2 yg baik n berusaha utk jd baik..selama ni 24jam dikelilingi mrk..skrg hampir separuh hari dikelilingi mrk yg seperti di ats..dan kdg2 sy rse sy da affected dgn suasana ni:'(

till then~

p/s: sila la doakn sy..sy xtahu nape hati sy pelik skrg..and ianya sgt menyedihkan..
p/ss: sy rndu amat sgt dkt kia kaha..mrk sangaaattt bg sy kekuatan utk ubah and stop byk bnde yg sy pttnye stop lame dah..*hugs*

emotional disorder?

Bismillah

You can ignore this post since I write this while having emotional breakdown
so, it might be serabut
but I just wanna share something that I've found useful for me

Currently I think I've lost interest in engineering
ha ha ha..shame on me
after almost 3 years suddenly it hit me this semester
and it is disaster
I've no passion at all to go to class, taking exams, quizzes, doing assignments and all other things student should do..
but then, I've quite enjoying the skill i'm taking which is sewing
it is like a thing that can ease the burden that i've felt for the whole week of engineering thinggy..
so, I was wondering how can I build the passion back since i still need to graduate etc..duh
and I found this article and I'm going to try it
so, in case you people have the same problem, I wish it will help :)

How to survive creative burnout

By Scott Berkun, June 2004
The longer you work at creating things, whether it’s software, websites, essays or paintings, the greater the odds you’ll hit a day where you don’t feel like doing it anymore. Up until then, you may have heard others describe burnout, but you just shrugged it off as superstition, or perhaps believed yourself immune. But the day it hits you, the world seems suddenly grey. What was once fun and challenging feel stupid and annoying. Or perhaps the things that used to motivate or move you don’t resonate at all. You feel nothing for them. It all just seems like so much more crap to deal with. If this sounds familiar, or you fear that this day is in your future, this essay is for you.

How to know when you’re burned out

The first thing to realize is that everyone’s creative energies come from different places. The reasons you might feel stuck or empty will be different from your friends and co-workers. So don’t be surprised that while you’re feeling low, others around you aren’t. Creative work, no matter how it’s defined, is personal stuff, and comes from your unique combination of qualities and feelings that make you, you. So just because you’re not running through the halls screaming about how much you love your job, while the rest of the people on your floor are dancing in the halls, doesn’t mean there’s anything wrong with you. You’re you: they’re not. You should not want to be them, and they should not want to be you (What a boring world we’d have if we were all simultaneously trying to be someone else. Oh wait…). To be yourself you have to sometimes deal with feelings that only you are feeling. Burnout means you’ve pushed your creative energy beyond the point of recovery. Like a well of water, creative energy replenishes itself slowly over time. A person who has pushed their creative well too hard for too long will, like its watery counterpart, one day find it empty. They’ve pushed too far. Usually by the time you notice something is seriously wrong, there’s very little left to work with. Burnout then is something, once experienced, a wise person learns how to avoid and manage (which we’ll talk about later). But right now, lets cover some of the common signs that you’ve become toasty:
  • You dread getting up in the morning (unless this is not unusual for you)
  • You don’t care anymore about something you were passionate about
  • You saw the title of this essay and felt a ray of hope
  • Inspired motivated creative people annoy you
  • Everything seems gray and pointless
  • You’re drinking more or eating more, or showing whatever your signs of depression are
  • You find it hard to relax
  • It seems impossible to do basic work you know you’re capable of
But be warned: before you chalk it up to creative burnout, be aware that there are some other problems that can easily be confused with it. How is the morale in your workplace? Are people generally ok and happy, or is the vibe downbeat or postal? There may be other issues going that are having a negative emotional impact on you. It might not be creative burnout, as much as some other unhealthy workplace or work relationship issue. Most probably, there are several issues you’re dealing with at the same time, including issues at home or with family, that are contributing to how you’re feeling. Sorting it out can take time, and it’s rarely helpful to blame everything going on in your life on one or two specific events, people, or environments.

Survival tactics

In then end, I’ve found that talking with other people won’t dramatically change the way you feel. It’s important to talk and express things, since expressing feelings is the only way to work through them, but in the end, change only comes from within. Change is slow, tricky and unpredictable, but everyone has certain triggers or experiences that help them shake things up more than others. Since everyone’s different, the approaches for how to work through it often have to be discovered by you. Here’s some of the things that I know have worked for me, and other designers and engineers I’ve worked with, but I recommend serious experimentation on your own:
  • Plan an escape. Take a day off and do the most dramatically easy but fun thing you can think of. Go see a matinee downtown, have a fantastic lunch, shop, browse, and walk. Be as indulgent as you can stand, and drag as many of your friends along with you. (Offer to return the favor with them when they’re burnt out.). Use a vacation day, or a sick day (Isn’t burnout a form of poor mental health?)
  • Laugh. Whatever it is you find funny, bring more of it into your life. Whether it’s certain people, films, tv shows, plays, books. Choose to laugh.
  • Scream. I’m a believer in primal screams. I always feel better after I’ve yelled at the top of my lungs for no particular reason, doubly so if I’m pissed off about something. Practice different screams, such as yelling ordinary words (“Papaya!!!”) vs. generic scream sounds (“Aaaaaaaagggh!”). Get friends and co-workers to participate if you can. Even if alone, and you have to do it into a pillow or underwater to not upset the neighbors, do it anyway. You’ll feel better, I promise.
  • Fun time: how much time per day do you do stuff purely for fun? Just because you like it and for no other reason? Why isn’t this number larger? What is more important than fun and happiness over the course of a lifetime?
  • Sleep & Exercise. Unfortunately, our minds are connected to our bodies, and if we treat our bodies poorly, well, our minds kind of get pissed off. I’ve found that if I’m not getting enough exercise, I’m about half as useful to the world than otherwise. Start taking a walk every day. Go swimming. Have more/better sex. Free up your body, and your mind will follow.
  • Travel: Get in the car, pick a direction, and drive. Grab friends, or not. Bring food, or not. Play music really loud, or just roll down the windows, and stick your head out (pssst.. this is a good time to scream). Use some vacation time, or ask for time without pay so you can stretch out your time (and your time may be more valuable than your money).

Beginning again

After you’ve made some effort to escape, and let the well fill up again, it’s time to get back to work. Sometimes the toasty feeling remains, even though you’ve filled up your credit cards, have seen every new film, and are exercising and laughing daily. Even with the most understanding boss or teammates, most people can’t afford to escape for very long. The work and the deadlines may have slipped back, but the work is still there. Here’s some advice for how to start again, and reconnect with the work at hand.
  • Break things into smaller pieces. If you can’t design the whole website, or code the whole function, break it down. What are the smallest meaningful pieces to work with? Work on a page. Can’t do a page? Work on part of a page. Get down the smallest bit you feel you can manage, but do it. Like Guthrie said, take it easy, but take it. After you do one piece, find the strength to do the next one. If you can’t, go for a walk, call a friend, but then come back and try again. And on and on. One small piece at a time. If you’re lucky, once you’ve got a few pieces done, you’ll hit your stride and it won’t seem so bad. If not, just slug it out. At least you’ll be able to say tommorow you did something today.
  • Look at the worst pieces of work you know of. The worst writing. The worst painting. The worst web design. Worst whatever. Do you feel anything when you look at the crap? Does it annoy you? Make you angry? Is there still a response there at all? Some energy somewhere in your gut? Can you redirect it?
  • Repeat above, only with the best piece of work you know. Go to a museum, or your favorite building. Watch your favorite film, read your favorite book. Do you get any energy there? Anything you can bring with you into your own project?

Avoiding burn-out

After you’ve gone through it once, you might fall victim to the arrogance of invulnerability. The false idea that since you’ve been burnt to a crisp once and survived, you can do it again. Don’t be stupid. It’s pure denial you’re feeling, not confidence. As long as you take on tough assignments and push yourself creatively you run the risk of going to far, and to live up to your potential as a creative person, you have to find ways to push yourself without pushing too far.
  • Change your work environment: What do you do at work when you feel stuck (not burnt out, but just stuck on a problem)? Are there things you can do to your cube or office to help you deal with those times? Posters of work that inspires you? Things that make you laugh? Music that helps you think through a problem? You spend 8 hours a day in that space: it’s worth taking a couple of hours to improve it by even 5 or 10%. If you suck at this and don’t know where to start (e.g. you’re male), ask a friend to help you out.
  • Project assignments: How do you decide what project assignments to take? How can you find more variety in your work, so that there’s a chance you’ll develop new interests, or new skills? Real growth is the best burnout prevention technique. It’s easier to stay interested if the work and the people stay interesting.
  • Work on more than one project at a time. My wife, an artist, never works on one painting at a time. When she feels stuck on one, she’ll move over to another and it always seems fresh and interesting, compared to the work she just left. I find the same thing with writing and designing. Find ways to give yourself alternatives, so that you can still be productive, while having the choice to temporarily skip a problem you are annoyed by or frustrated with.
  • Managers and work relationships. Do you like the people you work with? I don’t know how long I could be creative if I fundamentally didn’t like or get along with my boss, or most of my co-workers. The real problem might not be creative at all. It might be the unhealthy nature of your work relationships. Time spent improving relationship skills creates the potential for change, while banging your head against the wall every day and complaining to friends probably doesn’t.
  • Career & Lifestyle: How long have you been doing what you’re doing? Do you expect to do it forever? Perhaps you need bigger changes in your life that you’re getting. A new friend, a new lover, a new city, a new company, a new hobby, might be the only way to move your life forward.

Know Thyself

However you choose to deal with your situation, pay attention to yourself. What works and doesn’t work for you? When did you feel most inspired in your life? Least? What things in your life seem to influence your morale and motivation? No one can answer these questions but you. It’s often harder to figure out and listen to what your own needs are than to take advice from others. The sooner you sit down and allow your own truth to come out, the better off you’ll be.
